The PCHS Lady Bears are the 1-AAA area champions. They had a total score of 248 which outscored their nearest opponent by over 50 strokes. Mackenzie Connell lead the team with an 81, followed by Lily Varnes with an 82, Bayleigh Sinclair 85, Addyson Walker 90, and Lily Spivey 101. Next up for the Lady Bears will be the state tournament on May 16th and 17

Tuesday April 26th Lady Bears golf

Lady Bears turned in some great scores and won with a 116 over Wayne, a 49 stroke lead.  Lily Varnes one under par and low medalist for Pierce with a 35, Mackenzie Connell came in at par with 36, Addyson Walker 45, Bayleigh Sinclair 47, Lily Spivey 50, and Maggie Sapp 49.

April 12th Baseball defeated Tattnall County 12-1

April 11th Lady Bears played at Pinelakes  in the Jekyll Island Invitational Monday, April 11th against 9 schools with 45 ladies playing.  Lady Bears came in third with a total score of 248, Mackenzie Connell 79, Lily Varnes 81, Bayleigh Sinclair 88, and Lily Spivey 89. 

April 2nd Congratulations to the Lady Bears golf team. They are the Spring Break Classic Champions. The tournament was played at Uchee Trail Golf Club. Mackenzie Connell came in 2nd for the individual competition with a score of 82. Lily Varnes carded an 83 followed by Bayleigh Sinclair with a 90

March 28th The Lady Bears golf team played in the Dynamite Goodloe Tournament in Valdosta March 28th. We finished tied with a score of 240 behind a very strong Glynn Academy (231) and Lowndes High (234). The highlight of the tournament was Lily Spivey’s Eagle on hole 1. The team was led by Mackenzie Connell who shot a very impressive 74. Lily Spivey had a 78. She was followed by Lily Varnes with an 88 and Bayleigh Sinclair with a 90

March 21st The Lady Bears competed at the Creek at Hard Labor Waterwheel Girls Tournament Saturday. They played in some tough conditions with wind gust of 30 miles per hour and temperatures in the 60’s. Congratulations to Mackenzie Connell with overall low medalist with a 79.  Lily Varnes Finished 3rd with an 88. Lily Spivey finished in 5th with a 91 They competed with 24 girls from several other schools. The Lady Bears also had Maggie Sapp 97, Bayleigh Sinclair  104, and Addyson Walker withdrew with an injury.

March 14th Bear golfers finished 4th of 15 teams at the Bainbridge Invitational 

March 14th The Lady Bears Girl’s golf team defeated Camden County High School and Brunswick High school in a 9 hole match on Monday March 14th. The Lady Bears finished with a 129, Camden 163, and Brunswick High 171. Mackenzie Connell led the team with a 41, followed by Addyson Walker with a 43, and Lily Varnes with a 45. Other scores for the Lady Bears included Lily Spivey and Maggie Sapp with 47 and Bayleigh SInclair with a 48.  Next up for the Lady Bears is the Jacket Invitational at Little Ocmulggee Golf Course

March 5th results from the Red Ryder Cup: 2 man scramble for our Lady Bears golf team, but we had 2 of  3 of our teams finish in the top 10 out of 60 teams with under par scores.  Mackenzie Connell & Lily Spivey finished  2 under. Addyson Walker & Lily Varnes finished  1 under, and  Maggie Sapp and  Bayleigh Sinclair finished just over par. Way to go Lady Bears.

Feb 19th The Lady Bears Girl’s golf team opened their season finishing first place in the Lady Packer tournament in Moultrie Ga. They defeated 2nd place Ware county by 13 strokes. The low medalist for the Lady Bears was  Mackenzie Connell with an 83.

Jan 24th PCHS swimmers competed in the Ware Last Chance Invite yesterday afternoon. Top performances on the day include Rory Williams who set two new personal records. One in the 200 yd free, destroying her previous best by 10 seconds, and another in the 50 yd freestyle, dropping two more seconds there. Additional personal bests in the 200 yd freestyle were Conner Shipes, shaving two more seconds, and John Michael Sapp who dropped five seconds. Swimmers will have one more opportunity to add their personal exclamation marks to what has been an excellent season, this Friday as they host.

Jan 22nd PCHS swimmers participated in the Ware County Winter Invitational swim meet. It was a quick meet with many swimmers continuing to show improvements. Devyn Ball set new personal records in both the 100 yd free, dropping nearly four seconds, and the 100 yd backstroke dropping another second. Tristen Carlo continues to cut time in the 50 yd freestyle, while John Michael Sapp also posted his fastest 50 yd free of the season. And Rory Williams dropped five seconds off of her 100 yd freestyle, establishing a new personal record. The swim season will wrap this week with meets on Monday and again on Friday. Let's finish strong! Go Bears!


Jan 17th PCHS swimmers lit up the waters of the Brunswick YMCA on Saturday. It was a fast and fun meet with many swimmers posting their best performances thus far. Walker Sergent dropped time from his 100 yd free, and he also shaved valuable seconds off of his 100 yd butterfly, inching ever closer to making a state cut. Emma Dyal and Rory Williams both destroyed their previous best times in the 200 yd freestyle. Emma dropped 16 seconds while Rory dropped 10. Conner Shipes improved his 100 yd free time by two seconds and dropped 5 seconds off of his 100 yd breaststroke, establishing two new PRs for the season. Tristen Carlo continues to improve, besting both his 50 yd free and 100 yd free times. And John Michael Sapp swam his fastest 50 yd free of the season. Swimmers are looking to finish the season strong with just three meets left to go! Wish them luck!!

Jan 9th Wrestling lost to Brantley Co 39-38. Placed 2nd in region

Dec 11th PCHS Swimmers competed on Saturday at the YMCA in Waycross. The men brought home a fourth place finish overall. Top ten finished on the day include Devyn Ball, placing tenth in her first 200 Free. She also dropped four seconds off of her 100 Free time, establishing a new personal record. Walker Sergent picked up a second place finish in the 100 Fly. Conner Shipes placed seventh in the 100 Free. And the men's 400 Free Relay of Tristen Carlo, Conner Shipes, John Michael Sapp and Walker Sergent ended the day with a second place finish in an intense back and forth battle in the event. They swim again this Friday, back at the YMCA in Waycross.

Dec. 4th Swim team headed to South Georgia State College in Douglas on Saturday to compete. Pierce didn't waste any time. The Men's Medley Relay of John Michael Sapp, Conner Shipes, Walker Sergent and Tristen Carlo placed sixth in the first event of the meet. Soon after in event three, the 200 Free, Walker Sergent wrapped up a fifth place finish. Walker went on to take third place in the 100 Fly. In addition, Emma Dyal shaved seconds off of both her 200 and 100 Free events. Conner Shipes dropped valuable seconds in his 50 Free and 100 Back. And Tristen Carlo had a breakout performance in the 100 Freestyle, destroying his previous best time by seven seconds. Successful first performances of the season include Rory Williams' 200 Free and Devyn Ball's 100 Back. The men ended the day with a fourth place finish in the 400 Free Relay. The team will be back in action this Saturday at the Waycross YMCA. Spectators are still not allowed, but you can catch the action live streamed on Facebook.


Dec 4th girls basketball defeated Bradwell Inst. 48-43. Varsity girls are 4-0 on the season.

Dec 3rd football lost to Carver of Atlanta 19-17. 

November 26th football defeated Peach Co 35-30. 

November 19th competition cheer placed 2nd in the AAA state meet. 


November 19th football defeated Dawson 49-0


November 13th One Act Play finished 5th in state. Brayden Kirkland and Willie White were selected to allstar cast. 

November 13th competition cheer won the region title

November 12th football defeated Windsor Forrest 42-0

November 6th high school swimmers Rory Williams, Walker Sergent, Tristen Carlo and Conner Shipes took to the waters of Childers YMCA in Waycross for their second meet of the season. It was a face paced meet and all swimmers showed improvement. Tristen Carlo showed improvement in the 100 Free, while Rory Williams dropped nearly one second in her 50 Free. Conner Shipes dropped almost two seconds in his 100 Breaststroke. And Walker Sergent grabbed PC's top finish of the season by placing first in the 100 Backstroke. Our next meet is 12/4 at South Georgia State.

October 20th softball split with East Forsyth. Lost game 1 5-4 and won game 2 6-5. Plays on Thursday at 4:30 for winner take all. 

October 14th JV football defeated Appling Co 2-0 

October 13th softball defeated Windsor Forrest 22-0, 23-0 in the 1st round of the GHSA state playoffs. 

October 8th football defeated Brantley Co 35-6
